New Holiday playlist on Apple Music and Spotify! Holiday songs, Country songs, a little Brit pop. There's something for everyone. Here are some highlights:

Joy to the World - Little Richard Written by Hoyt Axon and made famous by Three Dog Night, Little Richard  does a spirit fill version here. He made a couple of albums in the early 70's that are as good as anything and was justifiably staking his claim as King of Rock n' Roll.

Hard Candy Christmas - Dolly Parton She's a national treasure and apparently a big part of funding vaccine research. One of the best.

Would That It Were so Simple - Dale Hollow Ironic Country usually gets old fast, but his songs have some depth. My friend Keith described him as Orville Peck meets Alex Cameron.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing - Sufjan Stevens This song is a hymn from the 1700's that uses the melody from the folk tune "Nettleton." Steven's does a great rendition on his Christmas album. Reminds me of my high school praise band days.

Accidentally Like a Martyr - War on Drugs Great live version of this Warren Zevon song. The whole album is fantastic. Hope we'll be able to see live music again someday.

Rosie - Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys Another recommendation from Keith. Great old school Alt-Country vibe. Feels like Lucinda Williams or Whiskeytown. Excited to hear more.

Tender - Blur Everyone knows "Song No. 2", but this one's a little different. Something about the gang vocals and vibe on this song resonates with me. Here's a cool version with The Roots they did on Jimmy Fallon.

If you know anyone else who'd enjoy this feel free to pass it on.  Thanks for reading. Happy Holidays!
